Immelmann is, primarily, a visual artist and comic illustrator from near the Boston Area with a degree in Graphic Design.
Mire was created in his senior year of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. It was recorded in various places around the school, his dorm, and his house. The sounds in the album include the sounds of a printer, hard drive, air conditioner, and other machines recorded with a hand-soldered contact mic. Also appearing is the electric guitar and bass (both tortured to the point of agonized screams and hisses), a hand-made theremin device, and a radio picking up static from a television.
The rest of what Immelmann does is a lot of drawing. You can find more about that on his website.
